Today I am happy to say that my book, “Because I Chose You,” has officially passed the Developmental Edits and Line-by-Line Editing stage.
Thank God! Talk about stressful. Next up is Final Proofreading. Yeah.
This stage makes me nervous. Okay, all stages make me nervous.
Are they going to add words, delete them or change them? Will my story still sound like my story when they’re done? So many questions. Thank goodness I have the original.
And they told me that finishing the story was the hard part!
Just had to share this beautiful book cover—again! And… the awesome back cover summary. I’m bragging a little, aren’t I?
Savannah Williams spent five years trying to outrun the past.
Once a respected forensic consultant for the FBI in Boston, she walked away from everything she loved without explanation—including Special Agent Scott Miller, the man she planned to marry.
Now working as a journalist in Washington, Savannah has carefully built a life designed to keep old wounds buried. But when a decades-old cold case in Tennessee calls for her forensic expertise, she’s forced back into the world she left behind… and back to Scott.
As the investigation unfolds, long-buried secrets begin to surface alongside the haunting story of a young World War II soldier who never made it home to the woman he loved.
Through forgotten letters, shattered truths, and sacrifices that still echo across generations, Savannah must finally confront the night that changed everything—and the fear that cost her the life she once dreamed of.
But some love stories refuse to disappear.
And sometimes healing means choosing joy—even after heartbreak.
Because I Chose You is a hope-filled story of courage, healing, and choosing love in the face of loss.

Stay tuned for more announcements for “Because I Chose You” on my blog, and my Facebook and Instagram accounts.
P.S. Tomorrow I’m going to post pictures of my characters! Trust me, I had a blast designing them.
